5 Simple Steps to Get Your Car Ready for Spring
Spring is around the corner and so is spring cleaning! Your car has taken a lot of wear and tear this winter and is due for a spring clean-up.
Here are a few simple steps you can take to get your car ready for the spring and summer seasons:
1. Wash Your Car
You’ve probably done this once or twice in the winter but opt for a professional car clean, both inside and out. This will help get rid of excess salt, dirt, mud, etc. Car cleaners often use powerful vacuums to suck out dirt from hard to reach areas inside the vehicle. They also use industrial-strength cleaners to sanitize the interiors. Don’t forget to get the exterior waxed!
2. Check Viper Fluid Levels
With spring comes rain, and you’re going to need good vipers for this weather. Ensure your wipers are in good condition. Replace them if necessary. Don’t forget to change or refill the wiper fluid as well.
A good set of vipers and sufficient viper fluid will always keep your windshield clean.
3. Change The Oil
Oil is an essential lubricant for your engine. It meets immense operational demands in the winter. As a result, it can run low or get dirty very quickly. You can do a simple dipstick test to check the condition of your oil. At the start of the spring season, visit the garage and get your oil changed. This will help your engine run smoothly.
4. Check The Tires
You should always check the condition of your tires before driving. Closely examine the tires for cracks or breaks in the treads. Don’t forget to check the tire pressure as well. If you had changed to winter tires, it’s time to change the tires to spring/summer ones.
5. Check Your Tech
If you have an older car, technology features may not be an issue. Newer vehicles are filled with tech features. Check for software updates. More importantly, ensure all the tech features are working as they should.
